Our most popular
question:
Q.What
bat is good for me or my ball player?
A. There is
no straight out answer for this question. We all
have guide lines and size charts that help but a
style of bat really is determined by the style of
hitter you are. Visit our sizechart
page.
Q.What
the difference between Maple and Ash?
A. Maple
wood is denser, harder and heavier. Ash wood is
also hard, but is very flexible. That's why when
a Maple bat breaks it usually ends up in two
pieces. When an Ash bat breaks it usually just
cracks and holds together. Visit our maplebats and
ashbats
pages.
Q.What
makes a bat heavy and what makes it light?
A. Bats
will vary in weight for many reasons. A heavy bat
is generally a very dense bat and will be
actually very hard to break. A light bat might be
a result of the bat being not so dense or the bat
being very dry. You'll find that these bats are
very easy to break.
Q.What
does -2 mean?
A. The term
minus two or (-2) refers to the weight to length
ratio. If you have a bat that is 33" in
length and it is referred to as a -2 that means
the bat will weight 31oz .The length of the bat
subtract the weight ratio (33" - 2oz =
31oz). Or a -3 will mean a 33" bat weighs
30oz.
Q.What
does cupping mean?
A. Cupping
indicates that the end of the bat is to be
scooped out or cupped out. This will help reduce
the weight by almost a full ounce.
Q.Do
we offer volume discounts?
A. Yes we
do, we have a flat shipping rate of $20.00 for
any shipments within Continental North America.
The $20.00 per order is applied to orders for 1
bat or orders for 6 bats or more. The more bats
you order the more you will save.
Q.Do
we offer pro player discounts?
A. Yes we
do, we understand that a individual pro player
will purchase around 4 dozen bats per year. We
have a Pro Player Package that will help reduce
the cost of equipment and benefit both the player
and Mash Bats. visit our proplayer
page to find out more.
Q.What
pitches break the most bats?
A. It's
never the pitch that breaks the bat, it's always
the batter. If you are looking for an inside
pitch and you offer at an outside pitch. Odds are
you are going to hit the ball right off the end
of the bat and probably break it. Same goes the
other way, if you're looking out and the pitch is
in. My answer to that, don't swing at the pitch
if it's not in your hitting zone. With two
strikes on me I never look for a certain pitch I
have to react to what the pitcher throws. I don't
strike out allot.
Q.Do
you offer any guarantees?
A.
No, a bat is only going to last as long as you
the batter will let it. Can I guarantee that our
bats will not break or they will last a certain
amount of games. I wish I could but like I said,
a bat will last only as long as you let it. It
all depends on how good a hitter you are. If you
break allot of bats then maybe you need to work
on your hitting.
Q.How
can I order a Mash Bat?
A.

average. Sometimes less and sometimes more. Each

Q.Why
do I make bats?
A.
I love baseball, I've been playing ever since I
can remember. At some point I'm going to have to
give it up and I accept that. Making these bat
will keep me in the game no matter what. One
thing you should know, I'm not a woodworker who
decided to make bats along with other items.
I'm
a baseball player who decided to make baseball
bats.
