MAPLE BATS AND ASH BATS

So what's the deal with Maple bats?

Simply put, Maple is a harder, denser and heavier wood than Ash. It is quite plentiful in tree form but getting good wood for bats is difficult. Straight grain is always the key ingredient for a good bat and Maple trees don't always grow straight. So there are a lot of trees out there but very few produce wood that is good enough for our Maple bats.

We've had some pro players have there bats last 2000 pitches. With all these pros come one con, the wood is a little bit heavier than Ash and with your traditional large barrel models Maple bats will be too heavy to handle. We offer our models in both Maple and Ash, for our Maple bats we trim down the barrel size by only 1/16" of an inch. This will give us the weight reduction that is needed to produce a bat that can be handled by all serious players.
